Alex Palmer
Head CoachAlex is the Head Coach of the program and leads athlete development across all performance levels. He has coached swimmers from grassroots participation through to national success, with a strong focus on building sustainable, high standard training environments.
Alex emphasises long term development, athlete ownership and technical quality, believing consistent habits and respect for the training process are the foundation of lasting success.

Connie Jackson
Lead Coach - National Pathway/Senior State and State DevelopmentConnie is an experienced swim coach with a lifelong connection to the sport, having swum at an Open and Age National level.
With a strong focus on technical excellence and holistic athlete development, she brings passion, knowledge, and lived experience to the coaching team.

Mackenzie Lienert
Mackenzie has been coaching at Starplex since 2021, working primarily with young swimmers as they progress through the early stages of their development. She was a competitive swimmer for several years, giving her insight into the training environment and the experiences athletes go through as they grow in the sport.
Mackenzie focuses on helping swimmers build strong foundational skills and gain confidence in their abilities. She values steady improvement and clear expectations, where young athletes can continue learning and progressing over time.
Lead Coach - Competitive Development
Isabella dowler
Coach - State Development & Competitive DevelopmentIsabella is a dedicated swim coach, having competed since the age of 8 and currently swimming in our National Squad. Isabella has competed at a high level, racing at National Age, Open and the Australian World Championship Trials.
Alongside her own swimming journey, Isabella assists with our state and competitive development squads, where she is passionate about creating a fun learning environment for swimmers to master technique, endurance and a genuine love for the sport.
